Merry Christmas Shaker Card

Hello crafty friends!  Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!  Yesterday we had our annual cookie baking day and we had so much fun making Christmas cookies for our friends and family.  This has been a tradition for years and it is so nice that we continue the tradition even with everyone's crazy schedules.

And our finished product:

Do you have any fun Christmas traditions?

Today I have a Christmas shaker card to share with you that I made featuring Lawn Fawn's Winter Sparrows stamp set.

I started by masking a moon and distressing the background with several different blue distress inks.  I wanted to have a snowy scene, so I used the Falling Snow stencil from Simon Says Stamp with white embossing paste. Sorry the picture is blurry, I had a difficult time getting a clear picture.

I used the Stitched Rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp as the border for the shaker card.  These dies are perfect for shaker cards.  I just love how the stitched border adds a polished look to the card.  Here's a closer look:

I'm going to play along with the Christmas challenge going on at the Lawnscaping Blog

I'm also entering this card in the Winter Inspiration challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Thanks for coming by and have a great week!

Merry Christmas Card Featuring Lawn Fawn

Happy weekend everyone!  I cannot believe it is the last weekend before Christmas, crazy!  More unbelievable is that I have finished my shopping and wrapping, and have sent out all of my Christmas cards.  Now it's time to relax and enjoy the holidays!  Today is our annual cookie day with my family and I cannot wait to eat bake Christmas cookies!

I have a card to share that features the bunnies from Lawn Fawn's Snow Day stamp set.

I started this project by stamping trees from the Let it Snow stamp set (Lawn Fawn) in teal and silver.  I used the Christmas Banner stamp from the White Christmas set (Stampin' Up) as my sentiment for the card.

I used the Stitched Journaling Card die cut (Lawn Fawn) on a piece of patterned paper from Snow Day Collection to frame the card.

I added clear Wink of Stella to the trees and red twine to finish the card.

I'm going to enter this card into the Lawnscaping Challenge #96.  The theme of the challenge is Christmas.

I'm also going to play along with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  The challenge this week is "Winter Inspiration".

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Christmas Wreath Card

Good morning and happy Sunday!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.  Today I'm going to try to finish up my Christmas shopping.  I'm usually a last minute shopper and I'm hoping to have everything done today so I can enjoy more holiday festivities this year :)

I have a Christmas card to share with you that I made using the Tiny Dots stencil from Simon Says Stamp.

After inking up the stencil with silver ink, I created a Christmas wreath with the Laurels stamp set from Avery Elle.

One of my favorite sentiments this year is the Merry Christmas die from Simon Says Stamp.  The script is so gorgeous!

I finished the card off with a silver bow and added clear glitter to the sentiment and berries.  Well I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for stopping by!

Two Cards Featuring Simon Says Stamp Stitched Square Dies

Hello friends!  Happy December!  I can't believe it is already December and so close to Christmas! Where has the year gone?  Today I have two cards to share with you that I made from the new Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares Dies from the "In Stitches" release.  One of the many things that makes these dies so awesome and unique is that the dies have stitches on both sides of the cut line.  How fun!

I love making Christmas cards and think these dies would make a great shaker card, but decided I needed more non-holiday cards.  Here are the two cards I created using these dies:

I started by making a background using  Lawn Fawn's Interlocking Background stamp.  I embossed the pattern in gold and then colored random areas with different shades of pink copics.  I then used the stitched square die on the patterned paper and white cardstock for the two cards.

For the first card, I embossed the sentiment from Mama Elephant's Make A Wish stamp set in gold.  I kept it simple and added a few gold stars.

I just love how the stitched edges line up!

For the second card, I used the super adorable stamps and coordinating dies from You Are Pawesome by SSS.  I added touches of gold embossing on the balloons and sentiment to match the background.

I used vellum with the same stitched die cut to soften the background for this card.

Hope you enjoyed this post and have a great weekend!
