Love You Tons

Hey Everyone!

Hope you all are having a great week so far!  I have a card to share with you that I made for my hubby for Valentine's Day.

For this card, I used the Stitched Journaling Card die (Lawn Fawn) to create a background for the scene.  Since the card is for Valentine's Day, I thought it would be fun to have the elephants "peeking out" from hearts.  I colored the journaling card with Distress Paint (Spun Sugar).  I used the largest heart die (Lawn Fawn) to create two openings for the elephants.  I wanted to make the hearts pop, so I made a second journaling card using a brighter Distress Paint (Pickled Raspberry).  I loosely attached the two journaling cards so I could find the perfect spot for the elephants. Once I found the right placement, I taped the edges of the cards together.

To keep with the love theme, I stamped the heart trail from the Bee Mine stamp set (Lawn Fawn) between the elephants.  I made a few smaller hearts from the distressed journaling cards and added them to the scene.  I love the combination of elephants and polka dots, so I layered the card using gray polka dot patterned paper and mounted the scene on kraft cardstock.

Since I used dots and hearts for this project, I am going to enter the card into the current Lawnscaping Challenge.

I'm also going to play along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (use Kraft cardstock) for this week.

Well that's all I have for today.  Thanks for coming by and happy crafting!

Lawnscaping Challenge #75

Hello Everyone!

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for the current Lawnscaping Challenge.  This week's challenge is about making a project using hearts or dots...so fun!

I just got two sweet little elephants in the mail the other day, and I knew they would be perfect for this project.  Here is what I came up with:

For this card, I used Lawn Fawn's Love You Tons stamp set and coordinating dies, Sunny Skies stamp set, and the Stitched Journaling Card die.  After coloring the sun and elephant with copics, I adhered them to the journaling card with foam tape.  I made a few hearts out of pink cardstock using heart die cuts.  To add some pop, I added clear glitter around the hearts and sun.  I finished the card by embossing the sentiment from Sunny Skies.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!
